The poor guy’s gotta live with it day in-day out June 27, 2007

user44788 1 lThis is just too funny not to share. My Broker SPEAKS! And what does he choose to say in his first ever blog interaction, when he commented on Teresa Boardman’s “Ode to ARDELL”?

Teresa,

Yes I do believe you do “get” her. Try living and working 24/7 with a Blogging Queen.

Sometimes manhood, even parts of sanity, seem to fall through the cracks.

Ardell is the brightest, caring, loving and stubbornly honest woman I have ever met. What you feel in her writings is who she truely is in the flesh.

When I read your blogs, the same feeling shines itself on each sentence.

It will be great to meet you at Connect as well as some other Superstars of the Blogging World.

And yes I love your humor.

Kim Harris…Owner/Broker…Sound Realty

Totally cracked me up! His sanity? His “manhood”? LOL Now I feel sorry for my ex-husband who had to live with me for almost 20 years. I’m sending him a link to this post. Sorry Doug…I never knew. Way too funny for words. Let’s post Doug’s likely comment FOR him: “Better you than me, pal”. HA!

I just had to post this so I could send a link to our clients. Sometimes we’re like the Sonny and Cher act. The other night one of our clients said, “I wish I had my video camera with me. I’d record this.” That would be a funny Podcast :) The client asked if $500 was enough for an increment of escalation. Kim says “yeah”, I turn and say have you EVER!?!? He says…”no…I’m leaving now”…LOL…and so it goes.

Kim - Maybe you should look into a Utilikilt? Free up that manhood a little bit? After all, we know who wears the pants in that family…on the surface, anyway. :)

2. Polly - June 27, 2007

Kim,

Anyone who has seen the two of you in action knows that you are a saint. We are all in your debt for taking such good care of our Princess. :)

3. ARDELL - June 27, 2007

Kim’s at the gym…:)

4. Alida - June 27, 2007

So how are you folks doing? I am looking into the blog business and it seems you are into it BIG TIME. Your picture reminds me of the nick name (Silver Fox) that I thought of prior to your opening your own office.

5. Dustin - June 27, 2007

Alida: we’re definitely into the blog business big time… but it is likely just a fad. :)

6. ARDELL - June 27, 2007

Hey Alida,

Kim went to the Red Sox - Mariner’s game last night. Were you there?

We’re running over to Queen Anne to show a property. I’m sure Kim will pop in soon.er…or later :)

7. Hicham - June 27, 2007

Oh Kim and Ardell, what can I say…there is never a dull moment with you guys! :)

The first thing that struck me when I met them was that these are ‘real’ people: no sleazy sales talk like you get with many real estate agents. So real they would argue in front of clients… LOL. The “I wish I had my video camera with me” line is mine actually :)

I am glad I met one of the most terrific real estate teams in Seattle, but first of all I am glad I have made two great friends.

Keep up the good work guys!

Kim is amazing….and so is Ardell…God’s work at His finest.

9. ARDELL - June 27, 2007

P.S. Comment #7 is/was our first ever blog client from way back when…and still to today :) You’ll always be our first…and you know what they say about that. LOL

Hi Kim,
You guys are one of the nicest/real/honest couples I know. I feel bless to have met you and appreciate your friendship.

kim - thank you for always taking the time for me when i show up unannounced. ardell and kim - you are the best!
p.s. i can get you that utilikilt when you’re ready - LOL -

12. Ganesh - June 28, 2007

I have to echo what Hicham said. I have to know, with about a million emails back and forth. So much so, that Ardell had to start purging emails so she wouldn’t run out of space. Kim, you need to help Ardell switch to using Google Apps so she never runs out of space :-)

13. ARDELL - June 28, 2007

Ganesh,

I haven’t had any disk space problems until you wrote that comment. As soon as you did…it’s as if the Universe heard you and responded. LOL Now I’m purging hundreds of emails to and from my Project Blogger Apprentice.

Not nearly as many as you and I had :)

14. ARDELL - June 28, 2007

I appreciate all of your comments guys. Kim is reading them all, but so far…no comments back. Can you have two bloggers in the same family? Maybe not :)

15. Kim Harris - June 28, 2007

Adrianna and Polly,
As you both know it takes a lot of time and work to please
“THE PRINCESS”.
You also both know that if it is over 55 in temperature, I’m
wearing shorts; not pants.
Great to hear from you,
Kim

Hicham,Jerrle and Ganesh,
I’m the better man for having each of you in my life.
Working with someone on a few transactions, and then just enjoying
your company, is the joy of this business.

Thanks to all three of you for being you.
Kim

Alida, Here is the “old silver fox ” thanking you for your comments.
Yes, you will do very well blogging. So get started…..
Kim

Hi Adriana,

I think more than one person can wear the pants in a family.
:)

With that said, I thought Ardell’s partner Kim was a woman and Ardell a lesbian when she kept referring to her “partner,” Kim.
The joke was on me, though, when I met a very MALE Kim, although I didn’t check under his utili-kilt to be completely sure.

Glad to see you commenting, Kim!!

19. Glenn Kelman - June 29, 2007

Kim, your comments made my day. And Ardell, I’m still flabbergasted that you e-mailed all this to your ex…

20. ARDELL - June 29, 2007

You know me Glenn, I’m nothing if not “transparent” LOL. You think after being married for 20 years there are any surprises? LOL

21. ARDELL - June 29, 2007

Oops! Kim agrees with you Glenn about “being flabbergasted” :)

22. ARDELL - June 29, 2007

Alida,

When I clicked your link, I see you have Excel Properties under your name with the John L. Scott logo on the left. You might want to tweak that. Say hi to Barb for us.
